Lesson 2 - Building A Wheel
In the first lesson, you spent time reflecting on why you came to YWAM and what you hope to gain during your journey. In many cases, the journey changes us. Think about some of your favorite television shows, books, podcasts, or movies.
Great storytelling introduces a main character and follows the story. Shows and podcasts have episodes. Books have chapters. Movies have a three act structure. Blog writing uses the same ideas.
Think about a bicycle wheel. At the center of the wheel is a hub. Spokes connect the hub to the rim and tire. The more spokes you add, the stronger your wheel becomes.
You are the main character at the center of your story. The questions you consider in each lesson connect a spoke to your experience.
Taking the time to write your experience in the moment makes your story stronger and richer. Every blog adds a spoke and slowly you have a complete wheel that tells the full story of your journey.
Activation 2
The first spoke in your story from the first activation considers the call to missions. All of us experience doubts, hesitations, and other obstacles. Finding the motivation to overcome these obstacles is key to growing as an individual and fortifying your faith.
Before each activation, we will introduce a theme and corresponding scripture. Take a moment to consider both and then begin the activation for your next blog article.
Just like before, you should read through all of the questions before writing any response. Gather your thoughts and write a main point about confronting doubt and overcoming challenges. Then answer each question with a clear answer and a few supporting sentences.
You will see how questions can help you form a clear structure and keep your writing organized. This will be important as you move to Lesson 3.
