Lesson 11 - Bearing Fruit from the Branch

At the end of this activation, we will explore how to build a social media campaign and calendar using your blogs and capstone. First, let’s do a final short activation to conclude your capstone project.

Benedictions are familiar at the end of sermons and teachings. At the end of your capstone, you will want to offer a call to action or a simple blessing to others.

Throughout this guide and all of your DTS journey, you have learned, grown, and so, your final statement should be unique. Feel free to use the questions as inspiration, but you now have the skills and freedom to express yourself uniquely.

Activation 11

In this activation, use the theme of Gifts you have received and will share with the world.

GIFTS John 15:6 I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Why is social media important?

Blogs are an opportunity to really showcase your creativity. Email is versatile for reaching out to people you know. Social media channels are incredibly popular because they introduce you to new networks. Someone who loves your post, image, or reel can share at a scale other platforms do not.

Let’s repurpose all of your blogs into an effective social media campaign. For this activation, we will build a social media calendar for Instagram. This same calendar can be used for other channels including video formats for TikTok and YouTube.

Week 1:

- Post 1: Introduce your portfolio web page and provide a brief overview of your work.

- Post 2: Share a teaser image from Blog 1 and include a compelling caption to encourage readers to visit your portfolio web page.

- Post 3: Feature a quote or key takeaway from Blog 1 to spark curiosity and direct followers to your portfolio web page.

Week 2:

- Post 4: Highlight Blog 2 and explain why it's relevant and valuable for your audience.

- Post 5: Share a behind-the-scenes photo or video related to Blog 2, inviting followers to learn more on your portfolio web page.

- Post 6: Ask a thought-provoking question related to Blog 2 and encourage followers to visit your portfolio web page to find the answer.

Week 3:

- Post 7: Showcase Blog 3 with an engaging visual element and a brief description of its content.

- Post 8: Share an interesting statistic or surprising fact from Blog 3, enticing followers to explore more on your portfolio web page.

- Post 9: Create a carousel post featuring key highlights or tips from Blog 3, with a call-to-action to visit your portfolio web page for more insights.

Week 4:

- Post 10: Introduce Blog 4 and emphasize how it can benefit your audience.

- Post 11: Share a testimonial or success story related to Blog 4, building credibility and encouraging followers to check out your portfolio web page.

- Post 12: Pose a challenge or ask followers to share their experiences related to Blog 4, inviting them to visit your portfolio web page for additional guidance.

Continue this pattern for Weeks 5-8, highlighting each remaining blog in a similar manner. In week 8, conclude the campaign with a comprehensive post that encourages followers to explore your portfolio web page to see the full collection of blogs and learn more about your work.

Remember to include visually appealing images or graphics with each post just like in Lesson 7.
