2.2 billion people will live and die and never hear about Jesus. YWAM Orlando uses training and outreaches to help young people reach the lost with the Gospel - until all have heard. YWAM Orlando is running Reach Gen Z because we believe that if ministry leaders reach, disciple, and release this generation, we could see a  missions movement like we’ve never seen before. We could see Gen Z reach the unreached until everyone has had an opportunity to know Jesus.

Reach Gen Z is not just another conference, it’s a training that’s very specific on equipping you to reach and lead Gen Z. During Reach Gen Z you’ll get to be in a community of Gen Z missionaries and students who you can meet and learn from. Not only that but you’ll be able to meet other like-minded ministry leaders and have time to collaborate together to come up with innovative ideas you can take home and implement in your context.

Not only will Reach Gen Z train ministry leaders to reach the one of the most influential generations, but it will also create space for leaders to connect and partner together to best fulfill God’s work on the earth. We believe partnering together can lead to revival and reformation in our country and around the world. The goal is partnership as the body of Christ and training to effectively reach Gen Z.

Gen Z is currently on track to be one of the most anxious, depressed, and suicidal generations. Although they are facing a lot of issues, we believe God can change that script in an instant through the transformational power of the blood of Jesus. The Jesus Movement came out of a generation that was all about mysticism and psychedelic drugs. In the same way, he can bring revival and transformation to a generation struggling with mental health and we believe that he will in Gen Z.

From what we’ve seen through statistics and the students who have been trained at YWAM Orlando, we believe Gen Z could be the most missional generation in history. Gen Z is evangelistic, justice oriented, and has more tools available to them to complete the Great Commission. We’re going to unpack this more during the conference but here are some stats that have encouraged us:

• 2 of 3 teens globally say their faith beliefs or spiritual journey are an important part of their identity (OneHope Global Youth Culture Report)
• 63% believe that their generation is more entrepreneurial than their predecessors (Wunderman Thompson Intelligence 2020 Gen Z Report)
• Half of all Gen Z say talking about their faith identity makes them feel calm, around 30% feel peaceful (Barna, Gen-Z evangelism)

In 5 years most of Gen Z will have been old enough to make major career choices and life decisions. We believe the best time to reach them is now while they’re still deciding the trajectory of their life. Although we will have the opportunity to reach them in the future, we believe now is the time to influence and reach what could become the most missional generation.

The conference will mainly focus on Gen Z but we believe the content you receive could apply to Gen Alpha students you are leading. Innovating your process and making changes to reach the generation today is a skill set. It’s similar to altering the delivery of a message based on your audience. If we get good at innovating for Gen Z, we will be better equipped as leaders to make the necessary changes for Gen Alpha when the time comes.

Although the conference will be focused on training ministry leaders, if someone isn’t a ministry leader but wants to learn how to best reach Gen Z, they are welcome to register and join.

Due to the number of students YWAM Orlando will already be housing during the Fall, there will be limited housing available for the summit. There will be seperate single guys and single girls housing available on a first come first serve basis.

Also, on the registration page, you can look up nearby hotels or other places to stay for the duration of the conference.

We have a full kitchen with staff who prepare the meals with intentionality and with health in mind. If you would like to skip the main provided meal we also have a full salad bar at every meal.

During the summit we will be providing drip coffee and creamer for sessions but we also have a coffee shop on the campus that will be open during the day. We have top-of-the-line equipment, quality beans, and trained baristas so we can make the best cup possible.
