If you’re interested in long-term missions—to move overseas, live in another culture, plant churches, be able to share the gospel cross-culturally, or even business as missions—then the School of Missions (SOM) is for you.
The SOM exists to equip and release participants to disciple the nations and to be fruitful in a variety of ministries all over the world. It is our goal through this school to set you up for success and give you the tools you need to thrive in ministry cross-culturally in another nation.
This school is split into two phases:
A three month Campus Phase in Orlando
A Field Assignment which can vary from 6 months to 2 years
CAMPUS PHASE
The campus portion of your school will include a variety of experienced teachers. These teachers will equip you to do the following things and more:
- Pick up skills to effectively learn languages
- Discover the worldview’s of those you're called to reach
- Give you tools to help you prosper in challenging locations and work with/in multi-cultural teams
- Teach you how to thrive on the field
As part of the campus phase, there will be 2 evaluations that happen, one at the end of the 6th week and one at the end of your campus phase. The purpose of this is to make sure you are mentally, spiritually and emotionally healthy and ready for life on the field. Our heart and goal is to launch healthy missionaries to the nations.

SOM students enjoy hearing from teachers that have experience in their teaching topic. We try to bring in speakers that have personal experience in a student's ministry destination. Students also can connect with the teachers outside of class.
During the campus phase, you will have weekly sessions tailored to your field assignment destination. You will cover topics that will practically prepare you for living in that country (for example: applying for a visa, budgeting, health insurance). When the campus phase ends you will be more prepared to go!
We require that SOM students depart for their Field Assignment fully funded. As SOM staff we will come alongside you to assist with practical and faith-filled steps in creating an on-field budget and monthly support plan.
